Visited in March 2020.We had the finest Kotantan set meal for 3160 yen and the individual beef tongue half mix (salt and miso) for 720 yen.The finest shintan was excellent in both crunchy texture and taste ❗ We received it from various famous stores in Sendai, but this shinshin shintan was absolutely delicious ❗ Great compatibility with wasabi ❗Beef tongue was usually delicious.If you revisit Sendai, I would definitely like to have the finest shintan ❗

The restaurant is clean and offers well-packed beef tongue souvenir. Lunch set is good value for money. It comes with beef tongue, barley rice, beef tail soup and some pickled vegetables. Would recommend.

Nice comfortable cozy restaurant. We had the soba and Gyutan barley rice set. Gyutan was grilled to perfection and serving is just right. The barley rice is refillable for free. They have menu in English/Thai/Chinese/Korean. The restaurant also sells snacks/crackers @ the entrance.

This location is separate from Sendai station's branch, and is more spacious with a waiting room instead of a line. Not too far from the station either. There's English as well, and service was reasonably fast. I'd recommend coming with friends or with a date, probably not on my own. The soup shown with the set was delicious salt based as well, and the meat itself chewy yet flavorful. A little expensive but a good experience overall, recommended.

食事は、さほど待たずに到着。美味しかったです。混んでいる時は、焼き場の人も配膳や片付けもしつつで、きちんと教育がなされているのが、わかりました。ただ、最後の会計で待たせたにも関わらず、一言もなかった女性店員がダメでした。会計の最中も他の事務作業をしながら会計をしたりと対応の仕方がなっていませんでした。

Very nice, English menu, "fast food" style atmosphere. Tongue was gorgeous, basically melted in the mouth. Food was brought out as it was cooked, so my partner had actually finished his before mine left the kitchen.

If you are looking to taste a traditions Sendai tongue meal, this is the place to go. The food cannot be anymore delicious. They specialize in tongue so that’s the only thing on the menue. Absolutely fantastic place.
